02 — FOUNDER & MANAGING PRINCIPAL
Tim Nguyen
Tim Nguyen is the Founder & Managing Principal of Dockbridge Partners. Over nearly two decades, his career has combined investing with hands-on responsibility for building organizations, managing operations, and allocating capital.
He helped build a Los Angeles operation from an entrepreneurial startup office into a 40+ person organization, hiring and managing teams as the platform grew. His operating responsibilities have included managing P&Ls and multimillion-dollar operating and capital budgets, working alongside onsite teams, and coordinating customers, contractors, vendors, and professional teams around complex business plans.
His experience includes leading aspects of the transformation of a 100+ year-old industrial distribution and manufacturing complex into ROW DTLA, a 32-acre mixed-use campus that was renovated into creative office, boutique retail stores, and curated restuarants. The conversion of these spaces, which historically contained produce and apparel among other good and services, required balancing customer needs, construction and operating constraints, capital allocation, tenant mix, and long-term economics while coordinating numerous teams responsible for execution.
Across these experiences, Tim has focused on a recurring management challenge: connecting what is happening operationally with what the financial results are saying, then deciding where people, capital, and management attention can have the greatest impact. That perspective shapes Dockbridge's approach today.
